Todd Waste Management operates 3 MRF plants in North Yorkshire. The MRF’s receive a mix of commingled recyclate together with active mixed waste for processing and treatment before onward use for re processors, mills and or re use. From receipt of waste Todd Waste Management are able to separate out the following materials for onward and further reprocessing:
Scrap Metals for the steel industry, for use in the UK and overseas
Clean timber and wood products for processing by chipboard manufactures in the UK. Poorer woods, chipboard and MDF are separated and either processed for the use of animal bedding for local farmers or sent to our composting facility
Green waste for composting in North Yorkshire
Cardboard and paper is supplied to several dealers for reprocessing and in turn supplied to paper mills in the region
Scrap UPVC for processing and granulating in the plastic extrusion industry based in the UK
Plastics such as PET, LDPE, HDPE, PP and PE are supplied and sold to UK processors who in turn recycle the material in the UK and overseas
Brick Hardcore supplied for the use in the secondary and recycled aggregate market, and used in construction sites across the region
Inert and fine fractions used as recycled ballast for landscaping and sub soils. Some of this material is land filled as inert and supplied as cover material and or engineering cap for 3rd party landfill sites.
