Once Todd Waste Management have baled the cardboard it is then sent to paper mills to process. The mills break the cardboard down into a pulp and wash it to remove dirt and ink. The mills blend this pulp with fresher, stronger pulp made from wood chips. Machines dry and flatten this pulp mixture into new cardboard. The recycled cardboard can make new paperboard or both the outer lining and ribbed inner layer of corrugated cardboard. Once completed, the mills can ship the recycled cardboard off to manufacturing plants to make new boxes.

Church leaders in the city of Christchurch say the proposed 82-foot-high cathedral, made of 104 tubes of cardboard, will cost upward of $4.1 million. It will house 700 people, and is expected to stay in place for around 10 years, according to the Associated Press. Concrete and wood will be used to give the cathedral structural support.

 We have a simple solution for this:

• Dedicated Skips for larger sites
• Free of charge tote bag for smaller developments with each 8yd or 12yd skip.

 Whilst we already offer a supply of dedicated plasterboard skips for larger developments, we know that this does not work for the majority of smaller construction sites.

 For all 8 and 12 yd  construction and demolition skips that are likely to have a plaster or plasterboard content, we will supply a dumpy bag free of charge into which the plaster and plasterboard can be placed, once full this dumpy bag can be put into the skip and we will take it out at our recycling site. You will be asked whether you will require a bag for your plasterboard when you request a skip. Each skip will have an allowance of 1 dumpy for plasterboard, additional bags may also be placed within the skip, but these would attract an additional charge.

Where plasterboard is noted not to have been segregated within the skip, we will have to sort this by hand and will have to pass on a sorting charge . We are able to offer dedicated plasterboard skips for all your sites from 4 yd to 40 yd.

 The Environment Agency Guidance on plasterboard wastes recommends the following options should be taken when managing this waste stream:

• Separate it from wastes on site
• Package it separately from other waste
• Tell us if there is any in a mixed waste skip
• Never deliberately mix it with other wastes
