Through the changes to the classification of wastes over the last few years, many formerly non-hazardous wastes are now classed as Hazardous Waste.
Everyday devices such as batteries, waste electrical goods, workshop wastes, paints, oils and cleaning products are now classified as hazardous wastes and as such we have a dedicated collection service to suit.
Whilst tyres and plasterboard wastes are not hazardous, there are individual rules relating to the disposal of these wastes, again for which we have tried and tested disposal options.
Hazardous Symbols
Todd Waste Management can take care of all your hazardous waste, safely and securely, including those with the following symbols:

Asbestos
This is a well documented hazardous waste for which we offer a number of options.
We can supply dedicated skips and dispose of both bonded and fibrous asbestos, from small jobs such as the disposal of bonded asbestos from a garden shed to large tonnages from factory demolition and refurbishment to agriculture.
All hazardous wastes are strictly managed in accordance with HSE and Environment Agency requirements.
Electrical Waste
Over the last few years with the introduction of the Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment (WEEE) regulations, we have developed a simple collection and disposal service for waste electrical items.
Under WEEE regulations, all electrical items from domestic toasters and kettles, office and computer equipment, to TV’s, Fridges and large industrial items, have to be disposed of to a waste electrical reprocessor.
Use our simple service to collect the electrical waste items, either individually or on pallets, thereafter the wastes are transported to one of our three fully licensed transfer and treatment centers at Thirsk, York and Malton where they are sorted and recycled.
Liquid Waste
If you have any liquid wastes from small drums to bulk tanker loads we can assist. Our collection service collects both hazardous and non hazardous liquids on a scheduled on demand basis.
Our drivers are ADR qualified to carry liquid wastes.
Before any liquid collections can be arranged, we need to know an amount of information about the characteristics of the liquids, to ensure we have the correct ADR information and if necessary hazardous waste paper work.
Whilst we concentrate on workshop liquids, paints, inks we can organise the collection, safe handling and certified disposal across a wide range of liquid wastes.
